Last weekend, Ian and I decided to make the most of the gorgeous Autumn weather; gloriously coloured, crunchy leaves, the warm sun and refreshing, cool breeze. We headed to the nearest park and were not disappointed by the welcome.
Majestic golden trees swayed in the wind and scattered their leaves before us; creating a beautiful, gold, crunchy footpath which we were more than happy to trot along.

It was the perfect day! The sun was shining and the trees were practically glowing and bursting with colour.

                                                    Willow trees are my favourite.

This scary Canada goose wanted to join in on the picnic...I got scared and Ian had to row faster until we lost him haha!!

There was only one other couple in a boat on the whole lake which meant we practically had the whole place to ourselves and could bob along in our boat wherever we wanted without crashing into other novice rowers.

Look at this mystical little cove and temple hiding behind the tree!

Yesterday Ian and I decided to go on a tour of Montmatre, after already attempting said tour once before, this time we were really determined to make it on time! Thankfully it began at 2.30pm as opposed to in the morning, like the previous one, so we arrived at Blanche metro station, opposite the Moulin Rouge, with bags of time and spotted the tour guide wearing his bright pink vest, as promised. We joined the ever-growing bundle of people and patiently waited for the tour to begin.

First stop was the famous Cafe des 2 Moulins (The Two Windmills cafe) from the film Amelie. It's amazing to go on tours, even if you do live there because I would've just walked past this spot totally unaware otherwise! It felt so surreal to stick your face up against the window and take a sneaky peak into Amelie's workplace.

The tour carried on; meandering up and down hills, in and out of streets and we all scuttled on behind the tour guide, eager for knowledge and cute places to take pictures of...

There's a little flower hanging on the shutters so you can spot it easily. :)

When we stopped here I had a little hyperventilation excitement attack; this is THE fruit and veg stall in Amelie!!

Complete with a window-full of 'Amelie' memorabilia.

After working on Saturday morning, we both wanted to make the most of the rest of the day so headed out with not much of a plan...always the best plans!
I grabbed my postcards on the way out and finally managed to post them home after being here for over a month now! Oops...

I'm not a coffee-drinker so rarely venture into the usual coffee-lover haunts such as Starbucks, Costa or Nero but my boyfriend on the other hand, loves it so of course it's safe to say I'm dragged along on the odd occasion, often in return for him accompanying me shopping!

I went for a mango passion frappe which will probably be the last opportunity to enjoy a nice cold drink outside before the Winter months really start to kick in.

Snuggled up outside in Starbucks with a drink and writing = the best thing ever!

After another little walk around, we headed home for lunch (yummy omelettes) then as evening approached, we went out again to have a wonder round the Notre Dame area.

We came out of a different metro exit than where we normally come out and were welcomed by this giant beauty.

Oh yum yum yummy yum! Paris is so mean, why does it have to offer so much delicious looking food which I most definitely cannot eat/ afford all of!
